The Light is Out! Oh no!

Posted in Daily Life at 10:50 AM | 0 comments | Tags: , , , , , ,

The light was out at I-10 and Hwy 6 so naturally everyone acts like they’ve never driven a car before. My plan I’d to go straight and then turn left because that’s what the lanes indicated that you can do. Well this lady on my left decides she wants to create her own lane and cut people off. Not going to happen. Just incase you don’t know I’m a jerk to idiot drivers. So this lady wants to turn left …

Turn on the lights so I can eat my salad

Posted in Daily Life at 4:26 PM | 0 comments | Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Another interesting day at work, or should I say … a section of businesses along a major freeway. Around 8:30 this morning, just as I finished my small lunch that required heating in the microwave, the lights flicker and them BOOM! Pitch black. Not even a backup light kicked on. It was like a modern day rock concert with cell phone lights flying everywhere. A couple seconds pass, and they’re on. Lather, rinse, repeat because this happened about 7 to …

Lasers are still cool?

Posted in Daily Life at 2:35 PM | 0 comments | Tags: , , , , , ,

Again I am confused about the random firing of some people’s brain synapses that cause them to do what would seem like fun, but in reality is silly and mediocre things.
This bring me to laser pointers, which at one time, in about 1995, these crafty lil’ “pens” were the new wave of class clown technology. Every bully, slacker, or cool kid that was willing to drop about $15 on one of these did. Providing hours of laughs throughout classrooms, movie …

The Rubberband Man

Posted in Daily Life at 4:38 PM | 0 comments | Tags: , , , ,

Most people wake up early, go to work, complain, come home, repeat. Not me. I’ve found far much better use of my allotted 8-hours of slave labor. Although not the most glorious feat I’ve painstakingly accomplished, but I just feel this shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is my rubber band ball. No, do not ask me how many there are. I don’t know. Why haven’t I been keeping count? Well, certain people feel it’s okay to just add …

Clipboard Upgrade

Posted in Daily Life at 8:54 AM | 0 comments | Tags: , , ,

For about 2 years or so I have been using the same, ol’ clipboard everyday. It’s nothing special, just the only one I could find when I started working at my job.

Coincidentally, the only thing I left freely (not locked up) on my desk that has yet to disappear. Maybe it has no value to anyone else, but if I came into work one morning and it was missing all work would cease until it’s retrieval.
A couple of days ago, …

H2-Oh No!

Posted in Daily Life at 4:51 PM | 0 comments | Tags: , ,

You would think, “Hey, it’s Thursday. Just another day at the office.” Which is true in my case, except for the 60 gallons of water seeping in from every angle. That’s right! I had the pleasure of walking in on this so early in the morning. Immediately I can see the day flash before my eyes:
- I’d end up cleaning all of this alone. Check!
- Everyone that walks in will ask “What happened?” & assume I did it. Check!
- My …

How often do you buy a new pair of shoes?

Posted in Daily Life at 7:19 AM | 1 comment | Tags: , , , ,

Howard:
Hmm, a couple times a year. I usually have a 3 shoe cycle: going-out shoes, work shoes, mowing the yard shoes. As you can see this is how the life of my shoes progress. Although, sometimes I have special purpose shoes for only running or only playing tennis, etc.
Summer:
I would have to say almost never!!!!! The last time I bought a new pair of everyday shoes (my converse) was around when Howard and I first met. So that’s …

Go ahead and ignore the rules

Posted in Daily Life at 4:04 PM | 0 comments | Tags: , ,

Sometimes the thought process of others perplexes my brain and send me for a loop. Yes, you guessed it … another day at work. Only today is the last day of the year. The day when people finally say to themselves “I’m going to stop doing that, and I am going to stop doing that” and then about 6 days later, after the hangover vanishes they follow their old ways because that’s all they know how to do. Creatures of …

Back to real life again

Posted in Daily Life at 1:20 PM | 0 comments | Tags: , , , ,

Back to work after the holidays. It was a great 5 days all to ourselves, but as the way of life works I shall slave away in a warehouse yet again. It’s not so bad because, well, I had a lot of catching up to do so it was practically time to go before I even clocked-in. Although, I didn’t get my daily dose of caffeine simply because we were out of coffee & I didn’t discover this until it …
