Our first plant of the new year, a cactus. We’re not sure exactly how to pronounce his scientific name, but we’re calling him Allen. He is set outside on our metal patio table, and of course Sookie wanted to get to know him.
I’ve been working with Sookie on how to chase, and retrieve, the tennis ball. Needless to say that she only has the first part down, but every now and then she’ll surprise and drop it by my feet. …

Yep! While we were out and about today, Summer (unhesitatingly) said, “Let’s go to Willie’s!” We usually don’t go anymore because when we lived in our apartment we kind of went all the time, so we got a little burnt out on it. Last night we tried something new, salmon. Now it wasn’t straight-from-the-sea fresh, but it’s a good stepping stone to make it to that point. The package came with 2 fillets, and surprisingly only took 16 minutes in the oven. We were both unaware of some awkward, white goo oozing out from inside the fish, but the box said this was normal (still didn’t eat it.)

Mike, one of our friends, came to pick me up last night as we did the “man night out thing”. Summer doesn’t like bowling too much, but loves to watch me in action … although this time she wanted to stay home.
Mondays are dollar night at the local alley, so 8 games and shoes came to around $12. We noticed that someone else owns the alley now, and included some nice upgrades (arcade, bar, lcd tv, etc).
