I’m not really going to apologize and say sorry for not updating because this won’t be the last time it happens — well, maybe this year.

That’s right! 2010 is nearly gone and I actually did take a couple of minutes to look back on what we did this year. All the new stuff we tried, stuff we didn’t try, etc and I am more than happy with the outcome. I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store for us — it’s looking pretty bright already. We have a few small goals we want to accomplish and I’m sure I’ll find some new hobbies to conquer.

We cleaned everything (house, dogs, ourselves) and we both, for the first time, have the 31st & 1st off of work so I am curious to see if I can stay up until midnight this year. It’s a little hard to do when you’re used to going to bed at 9.

So a quick side story. A couple of days ago when I was cleaning the house for the new year I was wiping down the microwave (which is above our stove) and decided the glass turnstile should be cleaned as well. I took it out to put in the dishwasher, but that was already running so on the counter it went to wait its turn. Later that night before bed Summer went into the kitchen to make some green tea (and hot chocolate for me). She filled a cup with water and went to put it in the microwave. You already know where this is going …

From the other room I heard something fall and smash down on the stove. I hurried to the kitchen, and yep, water everywhere! We would have cleaned it up faster if we didn’t laugh at it for 10 minutes. LOL! The dogs thought it was some special treat, as do they with anything we drop on the floor. Ahh, it was quite entertaining.

I pour myself a bowl of cereal just to find out we have no milk left. Grrr. So I opt for Ramen noodles and hot tea. :) Doesn’t that sound like a delicious breakfast? Shoot, I thought it was pretty darned good.

I know we haven’t been making very many videos as of late but that is because we have been so busy with work and the holidays. We will be sure to take lots of pictures and video clips tonight. There will be a holiday video posted sometime next week! But today there is still some shopping to be done. I haven’t filled the stockings with stocking stuffers yet and that needs to be done asap. I’ve also got to come up with some sides for the Baby Jesus Christmas Ham I am making on Saturday. I’m thinking I’ll make some yams, mashed potatoes, beans, stuffing, and cobbler. It shouldn’t be too large of meal because we will all be pigging out on snacks tonight

It’s like Jeep Magic. Here is a screen shot of the Jeep website. I go here sometimes just to browse through the features and it is like every time they know what I want to see. The first picture that shows up is a beautiful, yellow Rubicon that could possibly be mine one day. I’m sorry, I do not think that I have ever been to this site and seen a Jeep I did not want. Is that being greedy or what? I will own one some day. I may be tiny but I will be conquering some major land in one of those babies.

Even the saying on the front page..”Avoid crowds more easily. Create your own traffic pattern.” Who has been reading my journal and knew that is exactly what I want to do? It is genius.

Maybe I’m being a little dramatic here but seriously, I cannot be unhappy driving a vehicle with a removable  top. :D

I think it is time you went and sat in a Jeep.

Remember when film photography was so amazing and people were crazy about it? Let us go back to those days. That old film camera you used to own has now become obsolete because of the fancy digital you carry around now. I would like to give that old camera a new home with me. I have been in a creative slump for a little while and I found a different way to get out of it. I’m currently working on some projects which involve film cameras.

There was one Barbie camera I had when I was a child and did not appreciate it as much as I wish I had.  It was this one…

I believe it was thrown out quite a few years ago and I’m wishing I had not done that. It uses 110 film which is a little expensive and difficult to find and develop.

Now as I’m browsing through the internet trying to find these pictures I came across some mini pocket cameras I’m sure some of you owned at one point in your life. :D I love these things. They give a certain type of character to the photo.

While I was searching for this picture I came across a horrible website for Safari hunting. I was completely horrified seeing those beautiful creatures being displayed as trophy kills.

I cried. I am still crying. I cannot comprehend the pleasure of killing such noble animals. I hate it. I am ending my post here.

Summer really loves cold rice…..and coffee.

Eating left over Chinese food is the best! My favorite part is eating the cold rice while I am heating everything else up.
