Scared Little Pup

“Come on, let’s go in the car … ” is our dog’s favorite thing to hear. She runs right to where her leash hangs and wags her little tail like she is trying to pick up radio signals. We both get into the car, not before she has to sniff & bark at everything first, and make our way to the … VET!
Yeah, today was Marla’s six-month check-up. She is so excited right up until we pull into the parking lot, then she knows. Although, today she wasn’t as nervous as she usually is (maybe because no other dogs were there.)
The exam went well, and she is currently weighing 8.3 lbs. Marla was having some lameness (limping) problems, but the vitamins they prescribed last time seem to have worked. That’s a relief! Now I can start taking them for their walks at the park again.
There is this one eye test they do where it involves actually touching the eye with a small metal probe … ugh, gets me every time. Anyways, 3 shots & 2 treats later we’re at home, and she is doing what she does best. Sleeping.
