Watch Out! Fall Finally Fell

Whew! I thought we’d never make it through that terrible Summer heat, but at last autumn is here. There is definitely something in the air, well at least for me, but every year when it starts to get cooler outside I am just all-around in a better mood. Issues at the workplace or daily pressures just fade away and nothing really “gets to me.” One thing is for sure — I don’t mind mowing the yard. I actually look forward to it.
Aside from the holidays and all the family time we’ll spend together one of our most favorite (yeah, you could call it) traditions is hitting up our local Starbucks for some grande Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Okay, I’ll admit sometimes we over-do it and go a little more than we should, but we can’t help it. We hardly ever go any other time of year, maybe once or twice, so we can splurge for a couple of months. I think it just makes it all the more special and worth waiting for.
Soon we’ll be getting ready to visit some of our annual places which include Boo at the Zoo, the Renaissance & Scarecrow festivals, and the pumpkin patch where we always go to get our stockpile of pumpkins. I don’t think we’ll be taking the dogs this year — Sookie’s not as small as she used to be and is more of a guard dog than anything else, but she loves helping to put up the tree and wrap presents.
